Through performance, broadcasting and educational endeavors, Carol’s work as a writer and teaching artist addresses intersectional issues surrounding gender oppression.

Combining her love of theater with women’s issues, Carol created The Goddess Diaries, an ongoing theatrical production that features true transformative stories of women. Carol recently received a Master’s degree in Feminist Theater and Performance at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. Her capstone project, The Lesbian Wannabe, was recognized with the Outstanding Graduate Student Project Award.

As a regular contributor for five years on the Sirius-XM satellite radio hit broadcast, Broadminded, Carol provided commentary to the wide range of women’s issues that headline the media, took listener’s questions and drew from myth and ancient imagery to find answers related to body image, relationships and new opportunities. In February 2016, Carol launched a new music/talk radio program, Music Alley Radio that airs live on Thursdays from Arlington, VA, 96.7 FM. Through invigorating dialogue with guests, Carol explores the intersection of social justice, music and performance arts around DC, MD and VA.
